A superbly-illustrative altcoin model of hyperinflation, lovingly re-created in Bitcoin Core

This was a true joke-coin, a coin that hyperinflates (hence tulips, like tulip-mania). This is made to be the ultimate joke of a coin as it is GUARANTEED to be a horrible investment! SPECIFICATIONS: Scrypt, 60s block target, block reward starts at 1 Tulip, doubles every 17000 blocks, difficulty retarget every 170 blocks. With anon and PoS, ofc.

Overlooked 11-link chained hash algo PoW. A slow burner with great potential.

Developed independently of x11, Chaincoin's C11 chain is composed of the same 11 hash algos as x11; the C11 chain uses Skein for the 6th link, x11 uses it for the 4th link. Chaincoin is under close observation, it seems to be inexplicably overheating. The x11 experience is widely reported to be of cooler-running kit and reduced power consumption, attributes that do not seem to be reported as shared by C11. We are investigating whether different orderings of chained hash algos are accompanied by measurable differences in performance.

Misperceived - CPU-only, botnet-free, interesting randomised-algo approach.

Sadly misnamed, RouletteCoin is not for playing roulette, the name refers to the random algo selection, an interesting folklore combiner: block is hashed with sha2, then 16 rounds of hashing are performed, each round with randomly-chosen algorithm from a set of 16 hashing algorithms: BLAKE, BMW, CubeHash, ECHO, Fugue, Groestl, Hamsi, JH, Keccak, Luffa, SHA2, Shabal, SHAVite, SIMD, Skein and Whirlpool. We’re keeping the blocks chained and we've set up an instance of our lightweight block explorer. It’s listed on allcrypt.
